Enya Fontanills started practising her craft at South Miami Middle School. She went on to New World School of the Arts for high school, then received a full-ride to California College of the Arts for college from which she graduated with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts. In 2025, she completed a Master's in Art and Culture Management at Rome Business School.
The contemporary artist expands the limits of acrylic paint through layered textures, embedded objects, and sculptural elements that blur the line between painting and installation. Her work turns static images into spatial experiences—where form, meaning, and movement coexist.
Enya draws inspiration from the emotional landscapes of migration, memory, and identity. Her work channels surrealism to transform everyday objects into symbols of cultural displacement, longing, and resilience. Water—both barrier and bridge—is a recurring force, flowing through her pieces as a metaphor for connection, distance, and change.
